POINTS UPDATE: McIntosh Retains Lead, Avedisian Closes-in After Atomic, Brushcreek

LATEST RACE(S): Atomic Speedway (July 29), Brushcreek Motorsports Complex (July 30)

CURRENT POINTS LEADER: Though the gap shrunk for the second-straight week, Cannon McIntosh retains his points lead over Jade Avedisian. He came into the weekend 67 points up on Avedisian, but after her victory Friday at Atomic and his third DNF of the season Saturday at Brushcreek, McIntosh’s lead is down to only 44 with slightly over half of the season remaining.

MOVERS
Chase McDermand (-1): Despite tallying his 11th top-10 finish of the season with an eighth-place run Saturday at Atomic, McDermand sank one spot down to fifth in the standings after posting a DNF Sunday at Brushcreek.

Zach Daum (+1): Daum and the Trifecta Motorsports crew posted two more top-five finishes over the weekend – fourth at Atomic, runner-up at Brushcreek – vaulting Daum up to fourth in the standings.

Ethan Mitchell (+2): After taking a weekend off to recuperate, Mitchell landed back on tour with the Series this past weekend. The Bundy Built Motorsports driver moved from 11th up to ninth in the standings, thanks to a seventh-place run at Brushcreek.

Austin Barnhill (+2): Barnhill, the Dave Mac-Dalby Motorsports driver from Mooresville, NC, moves into the top-10 of the standings for the first time this season, thanks to back-to-back top-10 finishes over the weekend.
