A three-race September weekend in Illinois will help set the stage for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota 2024 championship finale.

First, the Series will return to Southern Illinois Raceway on Friday, Sept. 13, and then venture to the high-banked Highland Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 14. The weekend will conclude with the Series’ debut at Adams County Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The events at Southern Illinois Raceway and Highland Speedway will also be co-sanctioned by POWRi and conclude the Xtreme Outlaw-POWRi Challenge Series – which sees Ryan Timms hold a 21-point lead over Cannon McIntosh. The champion will be awarded a $2,500 check.

The Xtreme Outlaw Midgets debuted at Southern Illinois Raceway and Highland Speedway last year with the inaugural winners being Jade Avedisian at Southern Illinois and Illinois native Chase McDermand at Highland.

Adams County, a 1/2-mile dirt track in Quicny, IL, is welcoming the Series for its first national Midget event. The track opened in 1922 and hosted several NASCAR All-Star Tour events through the 1980s and 1990s.

The three events lead up to the 2024 championship weekend at Jacksonville Speedway, Oct. 4-5. In a reverse of the Challenge Series points standings, McIntosh currently leads the national championship standings over Ryan Timms by 133 points.

If you can’t make it to the tracks, you can watch every Xtreme Outlaw Midget race live on DIRTVision.
