Milton Hershey School Appalachian Midget Week returns for the second year with four straight nights of racing in Pennsylvania at four different tracks for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota.
Running Wednesday through Saturday, Aug. 7-10, the week will kick off at Action Track USA (Aug. 7) and then see stops at Linda’s Speedway (Aug. 8), Path Valley Speedway (Aug. 9) and Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway (Aug. 10).
There will be a $10,000 points fund on the line for the four-day miniseries, awarding the top-five points earners. Drivers will be rewarded after the final race with the payouts being: $5,000 to the champion, $2,500 for the runner-up, $1,250 to third; $750 for fourth and $500 for fifth.
Illinois’ Chase McDermand won the inaugural Midget Week title and will be back with Mounce/Stout Motorsports to try and make it two in a row. Of the four races on the schedule, he won at Action Track USA and Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway last year.
Linda’s Speedway, the 1/2-mile dirt track in Jonestown, PA, will welcome the World of Outlaws for the first this year. It’ll be the track’s third time welcoming a national touring Midget series. The USAC National Midget Tour went there in 2017 and 2019 with Chad Boat and Zeb Wise picking up the victories.
